Mit der QBox HD präsentiert der europäische Hersteller Duolabs eine neue HDTV Linux ENIGMA 2 Tripple Tuner Set-Top-Box der Spitzenklasse.
Erstmals sind alle wichtigen Multimedia Hardware-Komponenten (HDTV-HDMI, WLAN, LAN, USB Host/Client, HDD-Intern/Extern) mit den bewährten SAT Hardware- Komponenten (Tripple Tuner, 2 x Common Interface, 2 x Kartenleser und Diablo CAM eingebaut) vereint.
Bei dieser Ausstattung darf als Betriebssystem natürlich Linux nicht fehlen! Hier kommt die bewährte Benutzeroberfläche von ENIGMA 2 zum Einsatz.
Dank des STi 7101 266Mhz Prozessors mit Enigma 2 sind alle gängigen Plugins der Dreambox HD Serie kompatibel.

Die Q-Box HD verfügt in der Voll-Ausstattung über 2 DVB-S2 HDTV Tuner und wahlweise zusätzlich über einen DVB-T oder DVB-C Tuner.
Das steckbare WLAN Modul unterstützt eine Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit von bis zu 300Mb/sec.
Dem digitalen Video-Stream Wohnzimmer stehen somit somit keine Hürden mehr im Wege.
Der Multimedia Player unterstützt jetzt bereits die Formate DIVX, FLV (Youtube Format), MP3, JPG.
Ein DVD oder Blu-Ray Laufwerk kann über die USB-Schnittstelle angeschlossen werden und Festplatten können sowohl eingebaut als auch extern via USB angeschlossen werden.
Natürlich wurde auch nicht am internen Speicher gespart. Für die Firmware stehen 1 GB Speicher zur Verfügung mit zusätzlich 128 MB RAM und einem extra abgesicherten 8MB Bootloader Sicherheitsspeicher.
Weiters besticht die QBox HD durch das Hochauflösende TFT Front-Display mit 2,2 Zoll und 65536 Farben.

Can you guys give me a good recommendation of where is the best place to buy these? I live in Boston and I heard that the big thing about these Entertainment Centers (الرابط لايظهر فى الأرشيف) is the cost of shipping and installation.

Hi what's up all, been lurking here for a while and decided to post. Something's just spinning around in my head lol. Is the cheapest VPS too cheap? Now bear in mind this wasn't shared hosting which I have also seen for around $1 per month in several places but a full blown Virtual Private Server. It got me thinking whether or not it would be worth it to buy servers now for "serving" anything or if in just a couple of years everything will be running on mainfaimes again. FLashback 1950s?When you think about it, before the IBM XT nobody usually thought they could afford a computer even for their office let alone their home and businesses always grabbed those big mainframes and had dumb terminals running to the big bad boy in a metal cupboard. Today these cheap VPSes are becoming more and more like the dumbterms of yesteryear; while you may be sitting at an intelligent PC you are still just remote connecting to the processing power of the VPS cloud and you might as well just be typing at a dumb console in many cases. Those of you who shell remotely know what I mean. Now consider a few other seemingly random trends such as "google desktop" and "microsoft remote drive" and fast forward into the future where it seems plausible that all your storage and processing might be done outside your office or dwelling with all that control in someone else's hands. In return for that control the user might just get their VPS for free, financed by advertising and the sale of marketing data. But right now $5 is about as good as it gets and without advertising involved.out advertising involved.
